Roasting
As a light roast Lazy Sunday is a light roast that is easy on the palate, and then softens into a warm hug for your senses. The cocoa from Latin America is used to smooth the brew while Africa provides citrus notes to balance. The result is a coffee which can be enjoyed by itself or with cakes, milk chocolate or other sweets. It would also compliment lemon drizzle cakes or simple vanilla sponges extremely well.
When making this coffee, we recommend using the French Press method, preheating your vessel using some of the boil water to keep it warm and ready to brew. After the coffee is brewed, allow it to sit for four minutes, this will ensure that the grounds are saturated and not over extracted. The water is then forced through the grounds by the plunger, do not stir or agitate the coffee, as this could cause unpleasant elements to enter your cup.
Strength - 3 is gentle and easygoing, great for relaxing weekends.
Storage
Lazy Sunday is an aromatic light roast that has the sweet cocoa and citrus aroma. It has a soft mouth feel that caresses the palette. The cocoa-like hints can be traced to a winters' day sitting on the sofa reading a book and a warm family hug. Prepare your French Press by using water that isn't at the boiling point. This is recommended to stop the coffee from over extracting and forming undesirable elements in your drink. Add your grounds and 250ml water that has just boiled. Then let it sit for 4 minutes, plunge and enjoy.
